WHY EVENT CATERING MATTERS
Food and drink are not a detail. They are a signal about your brand.
Guests at corporate events and gala dinners make a judgement about the quality of the event within the first ten minutes. The welcome drink in their hand when they arrive. The canapés circulating during the reception. The quality of the table setting when they are called through to dinner. These are not peripheral details. They are the first tangible signals about the standard of the event and the standard of the organisation behind it.
Poor catering at an otherwise well-produced event is one of the most damaging things that can happen to the impression you are trying to create. Guests remember bad food. They remember warm wine and cold canapés. They remember waiting too long for courses to arrive and leaving an evening feeling like the hospitality did not reflect the occasion.
Studio Cube works with a trusted network of London event caterers selected for quality, reliability and their ability to deliver to the standard that corporate brands and premium events require. We match every brief to the right catering partner, manage the relationship from initial proposal through to post-event close-down and ensure the catering programme is integrated with the rest of the event rather than running as a separate operation alongside it.
WHAT KEEPS ORGANISERS AWAKE
The specific challenges of managing catering for a corporate event.
Finding a caterer who can match the standard of the event. Not all caterers can operate at the level that premium corporate events and gala dinners require. The ability to produce exceptional food for 300 covers simultaneously, to maintain service standards throughout a long evening and to manage dietary requirements without making the people who have them feel like an afterthought are not universal capabilities. Studio Cube works with caterers who have demonstrated they can do all of this consistently. We do not recommend a caterer we have not worked with or thoroughly assessed.
The catering running at a different pace to the rest of the event. One of the most common failures at corporate dinners and gala evenings is a catering programme that is not properly integrated with the event's run of show. Courses arriving during speeches. Service beginning before the awards have finished. Kitchen timings that bear no relation to the running order. Studio Cube coordinates the catering programme directly with the event's run of show. The kitchen knows when the speeches are. The service team knows when the awards begin. The catering and the production run as one operation rather than two parallel ones.
Dietary requirements that are not properly managed. A guest with a dietary requirement who receives the wrong course, or who has to ask multiple members of the service team before anyone can help them, has an experience that is disproportionately negative relative to the small amount of operational effort required to prevent it. Studio Cube manages dietary requirements as a specific operational process for every event. Requirements are collected in advance, communicated clearly to the catering team and managed on-site to ensure every guest receives the right food without having to ask for it.
A caterer who is difficult to work with on the day. The relationship between a catering team and an event production team on event day can either be seamless or it can be the source of the most operational tension of the entire event. Studio Cube has worked with enough caterers to know which ones collaborate well with a production team and which ones treat the kitchen as a separate domain with its own rules. We recommend caterers who understand that on event day everyone is working towards the same objective and who operate accordingly.
The final catering cost bearing no resemblance to the initial proposal. Catering proposals have a habit of growing between the initial quote and the final invoice. Additional staffing costs, corkage charges, equipment hire, service charges and the cost of changes made after the initial briefing can substantially increase the total cost of the catering. Studio Cube manages catering budgets with full transparency. Every cost is tracked, every change is costed and every budget decision is made with your approval before it is committed.
Exclusive caterers at venues who are not good enough. Many London venues operate with an exclusive or preferred catering list. This means you may not be able to bring your own caterer regardless of the quality of the venue's exclusive partners. Studio Cube assesses the catering capability of every venue we recommend as part of the venue sourcing process. If the exclusive caterer is not good enough for your event we tell you before you commit to the venue rather than after.

HOW IT WORKS
How Studio Cube manages event catering from brief to service.
01 Catering Brief
We learn everything about your event and your catering requirements. Format, guest count, dietary requirements, service style, budget, venue and the tone and standard you want the catering to reflect. A thorough catering brief produces a better caterer recommendation and a better event.
02 Caterer Selection and Proposal
We match your brief to the right catering partner from our network. We present the recommendation with a clear explanation of why this caterer is right for your event. Proposals are reviewed, menus are developed and budgets are agreed before any commitment is made.
03 Menu Development and Operational Planning
We work with the caterer to develop the menu, confirm the service style, collect dietary requirements and integrate the catering programme with the event's run of show. Every operational detail documented and agreed before event day.
04 Event Day
The catering team is briefed on the run of show and managed alongside the rest of the event production. Service timing coordinated with the programme. Dietary requirements managed on-site. Studio Cube's event manager liaises between the catering team and the production team throughout the event.

WHY STUDIO CUBE
Why event organisers trust Studio Cube to manage their catering.
Catering is one of the elements of event production that is most frequently underestimated at the briefing stage and most visibly felt on the day. The difference between a catering programme that elevates an event and one that undermines it is almost entirely a question of who recommended the caterer, how thoroughly they were briefed and how well the catering was integrated with the rest of the event.
Studio Cube manages catering as part of the event, not as a separate line on the budget. Our caterer recommendations come from genuine relationships and direct experience. Our catering management is integrated with the full event production so that the kitchen and the production team are always working from the same run of show.
A trusted network of quality caterers Our catering partners are selected for quality, reliability and their ability to deliver to the standard that corporate brands and premium events require. We do not recommend caterers we have not worked with directly.
Catering integrated with the run of show The catering programme is coordinated with every other element of the event. The kitchen knows when the speeches are. The service team knows when the awards begin. The catering and the production run as one operation.
Budget transparency from day one Every catering cost tracked. Every change costed. Every budget decision made with your approval. No surprises on the final invoice.
Senior event manager coordinating on the day Studio Cube's event manager liaises between the catering team and the production team throughout the event. The kitchen is never operating independently of the programme.

WHERE WE WORK
Event management across London and the UK.
Studio Cube sources and manages event catering across London and nationally across the UK. We work with catering partners across the City of London, Canary Wharf, Mayfair, South Bank, Shoreditch, the West End, Marylebone, Soho and Knightsbridge. We also manage event catering for national events across the UK.
Our London catering knowledge means we know which caterers operate best in which venues, which catering styles work for which event formats and which partners can be trusted to deliver to the standard that premium corporate events require. For events at venues with exclusive or preferred catering lists, we assess the catering capability as part of the venue sourcing process so you know what you are committing to before you commit.
